Just this morning I was picking up an item at Home Depot, and I ran into someone I know. She asked me that question I hear more than any other; “How’s the real estate market in Parker”?
It really is a great question, and it affects all of us who own homes. Heck, even if you’re renting, it affects that property, too! And after the last few years of a down market, it is with great pleasure that I can begin to say our market is doing much better.
Home sales are up 12% compared to the same time last year. Does this mean you can ask 12% more than you paid when you bought the home? Sorry, no. The market is funny that way. You can only ask what a willing buyer (the market) is ready to pay. How about that fancy new hot tub you spent $6000. Can’t I just add that to the price? Sorry, no. The market is funny about that, too. You can only ask what a willing buyer is ready to pay. See a theme here?
Our Parker Colorado real estate market is picking up, but supply and demand has a way of keeping things on track. If you’re thinking of selling, or just want to know “How’s the market”, let me know.
